Evening Rail Trail Run
What:
An evening Rail Trail and Pub Run.
When:
Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM sharp
Where:
Meet at the CVS parking lot, Rt 16 and Rt 109 intersection, 50 Medway Rd, Milford. Some runs will start from the white gazebo at Lex Auto Parts. 15 Winthrop St, Holliston. Check sign-up page to see location for a given run.
Course:
Out and back on the rail trail, typically 5-8 miles, but you can set your own distance. This is a trail run on a flat, non-technical, gravel surface. From Milford end, the run starts with a mile and a quarter on asphalt bike trail before turning into gravel. See Anthony's pictures (at right) of the trail and the view from it.
Light:
For much of the year, all or most of this run takes place in the dark. The trail isn't lit, so you'll need to bring your own light source. Joe has three extra headlamps he can lend out if needed.
Trail Option:
Run through the woods on old cart roads and single track paths containing some rocks, roots, fallen trees and other fun obstacles. The leader will be experienced running on these trails. The goal will always be a fun safe run; no one will ever be left behind. If interested, please note as such in the comment section when signing up.
Post Run:
Head next door to Casey's Pub (Pepperoncinis for Milford runs) for food, spirits, and friends!
