Tri-Valley Grand Prix Race Series 2016 - 2017
Starting in October we will have a series of races in which we encourage all club members to run. Points will be awarded based on your time. At the end of the series, awards will be handed out at our Annual Banquet in November 2017.
This is not a series for just fast runners - you can score by just participating or by being able to run faster than a younger runner since times will be age-graded. We will try to have races in a variety of surrounding towns at varying distances.
Remember to wear your TVFR singlet!

The Fine Print
- You must be a current member of the Tri-Valley Front Runners.
- In order to make this series fair for all ages, points will be awarded based on age-graded times for your age (in years) as of the race date. An explanation of the age grading system can be found here.
- Genders will be scored separately.
- Points will be awarded as follows - 1st place - 15 points, 2nd place - 14 points, and so on. No runner will receive fewer than 5 points. Bonus points might be awarded for some USATF and relay races.
- Most months we will have two or more races. You can run more than one race but will only receive points for one of the races. Your "unused" points are not assigned to the next place finisher.
- Your scores from your ten best months will be summed to create your season total.
- Each event will include at least one race of not more than 13.1 miles.
- Trophies/prizes will be awarded at our annual banquet to the top 5 male and female runners.
- The results will be posted on this website. If you do not see your name in the results or believe your results are incorrect, please contact Rawson Chaplin within two weeks of the race date.
