Healthy Bodies & Minds 10K - Foxboro, MA - September 30, 2012 - From Mike: It was drizzling at the start, but really opened up. Not a lot of water tables (only 10k one was at approx. mile 4). Not a lot of support on the course. Had a pretty good race and for a good cause. Two Michael Nixon's in the results because my bib wasn't there at pre-reg, meaning they probably gave it to the wrong runner. This was a PR for me.

9th Annual Houghton's Pond Trail Race - September 30, 2012 - From Rawson: This is a hilly race over terrain that is sometimes a bit rugged. Mid 50s and a steady light rain made the course a little tougher this year, but, hey, that's part of the fun of trail racing!

Milford 5K - Milford, MA - September 16, 2012 - From Coleen: It was a PR for Me!! Fun 5K but small. I only heard of the race due to TVFR website. Great course hopefully more people will run next year. Luke and Kristen both take first place division wins, Coleen takes a 2nd and Jackie takes a 3rd.

Boston Sports Club 10K - Wellesley, MA - Septembr 15, 2012 - From Rawson: This was a small event, but a fun one. There were two races, a 5K and a 10K that consisted of two loops of the 5K course. However, the two events were run separately, an hour apart. The first two miles of the loop were mostly flat, followed by a rolling third mile. The course was a mix of trails (mostly grass and fairly smooth dirt) and pavement (mostly walkways and sidewalks through Babson and Olin Colleges), with an unusual challenge being a large number of sharp turns. To me, the most interesting feature was that the route almost overlaps in places, allowing you to observe runners both further ahead and behind than you would normally be able to see. I liked this feature a lot, as it gave me a much better feeling for whether or not I'd be able to pass people (and vice versa). I'd recommended this event especially for those who haven't tried a trail race yet.

Marathon Sports EMARC 5K - Melrose, MA - September 9, 2012 - From Mike: It was a
pretty good race with vendor displays and a parade after it. Rolling hills as you wound through parts of Melrose. Temperature was near perfect at 72 degrees. Good community turnout and lots of volunteers.

Run to the Rock Half Marathon - Plymouth, MA - September 8, 2012 - John takes first in his division.

Canal Diggers Road Race - Worcester, MA - September 8, 2012 - Glenn takes 11th place overall and first in has division.

39th Annual Walpole Road Race - Walpole, MA - September 3, 2012 - Brendan is 5ht overall and first in has division. Nathan Carroll takes a 2nd place division win and Mary Tyler is 2nd in her division.
