TVFR Grand Prix Race Series 2018 - 2019
Starting in October we will have a series of races in which we encourage all club members to run. Points will be awarded based on your time, and awards will be handed out at our Annual Banquet in November 2019.
This is not just a series for fast runners - all participants score points, and those who run fast for their age score even more, as times are age-graded. Races will be held in a variety of surrounding towns at varying distances.
Remember to wear your TVFR apparel!

Scoring Rules
- You must be a current TVFR member.
- For each race, you must sign up on the TVFR site no later than 36 hours after the race start (but please sign up before the race to assure being scored promptly).
- In order to make this series fair for all ages, points will be awarded based on age-graded times for your age (in years) as of the race date. An explanation of the age grading system can be found here. Calculator
- Genders will be scored separately.
- Points will be awarded as follows - 1st place - 15 points, 2nd place - 14 points, and so on. In the event of a tie, both (or more) runners will receive the same point number of points; the following runner will receive one point less. No runner will receive fewer than 5 points.
- Most months we will have two or more races. You can run more than one race but will only receive points for the highest-scoring one. Your "unused" points are not assigned to the next place finisher.
- Your scores from your ten best months will be summed to create your season total.
- Each event will include at least one race of not more than 13.1 miles.
- Trophies/prizes will be awarded at our annual banquet to the top 5 male and female runners.
- The results will be posted on this website. If you do not see your name in the results or believe your results are incorrect, please contact Rawson Chaplin as soon as possible.
